The Role

As a tax accountant at this level you will provide general tax compliance services to your clients. These clients will come from a range of industries including a large number of professionals in the medical arena. Your daily responsibilities include

• Tax return preparation for Individuals, Companies, Partnerships & Trust
• Preparation of financial accounts and annual return for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs)
• Preparation of GST Returns and tax compliance work for PAYG Withholding Tax, Superannuation Guarantee, Taxable Payment Reporting and other reports / forms / returns dealing with State / Territory Taxes

As your knowledge increases you will be trained up in value added areas including:

• Tax Structuring
• Tax Planning
• Business valuations

About You

Having already worked in another Australian accounting firm you will have a minimum of 18 month experience and the tax knowledge to take small jobs from start to finish. You should also possess:-

• Accountancy Finance degree from an Australian university
• Accreditation from an Australia accounting tax professional body such as CPA, CA, IPA or NTAA   
• Excellent bilingual skill (Interpretation and Translation Mandarin Chinese / English)
• Capable to work independently and autonomously
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to manage workflow of junior level accountants if required
